The Hotel is located in the centre of the village. This is a strategic location to reach easily on foot the most important places in Calasetta: the Beach in the village, the tourist Port, the main Street and Square, the Museum of Contemporary Art.

 Calasetta is a perfect place where you can spend unforgettable holidays on  wonderful white sandy beaches, marvellous cliffs and breathtaking seascapes. This is a wild land where you can experience an uncontaminated nature both on the coast and in the inland. Here you can also smell the typical Sea and maquis scent.  

Sottotorre, the town beach, is within walking distance from the Hotel in a few minutes.
Calasetta is a small man-sized village, where you don’t need your car, because you can reach every place on foot. It’s also a children-sized village, where children can freely play and run in the big main Square, which is totally protected from road traffic.

That's why families and older people really appreciate the village, and also thanks to its typical village atmosphere and to its beaches closeness. This is one of Calasetta strengths, which is the only town in the nearby having this feature.

The fondest sportsmen like coming to Calasetta, where they have the possibility to rent aquatic sport equipments, and to practice sports such as diving, wind and kite surf and attend some lessons in the island taught by skilled instructors.
The island sightseeing is possible by car and bike and trekking in the inland is very popular and their popularity is increasing!more and more!

So, Young people really appreciate Calasetta, also thanks to its bars and joints organizing live music at night. There are also two open air discotheques, one of which is very close to town on foot.

Everybody can make excursions and day-trips on boats equipped for the tour of Sant’Antioco and San Pietro Islands. On these boats you can experience our fisherman techniques and have lunch eating the very tasty fish caught during the trip. This is a more and more appreciated experience, very popular among people visiting the Island.

"Cala di Seta”  is the original name of Calasetta where, in the past, a particular making of the Bisso, a sort of natural marine silk produced by a shellfish called "Pinna Nobilis,” was practiced. 
 
Calasetta, a village of 3.000 inhabitants, is located in the northern part of Sant’Antioco Island, in the south-west of Sardinia.

It was founded in 1770 by Ligurian people coming from Tabarka (an African Island). The village today still has several ligurian traditions and speaks the Genoese dialect. It was also influenced by 300 Piedmonteses who followed the Ligurians some years later. The structure of the village is a typical piedmontese one and we inherited form them the tradition of vineyard cultivation that, together with the fishing, were at the basis of the village economy for several decades.

Today local makers and the "Cantina Sociale” (founded in 1930) still grow the vineyard and produce an excellent red, rosé and white vine; the most appreciated one is the Carignano, the famous red vine aged in oak barrels.

The ancient Tower, built in 1760 is located in the highest part of the village.
It is surrounded by a nice square overlooking on one side the town Beach and San Pietro Island, the Port and the main Square on the other one.
